LEVELS

We will continue to offer two levels of competition, varsity and junior varsity, for this year’s invitational. Our intention is to provide appropriate opportunity for as many of your athletes as possible. Each team may have two entries per level in the individual events and one relay per level. All events with the exception of the 4 x 100 Meter Throwers Relay will count to the team score.

Due Date: Friday, April 17, 2009 at 5:00 PM

Again the year we are using an online entry method. We have extended the entry deadline from Thursday to Friday at 5:00 PM. Because of this extension, we will no longer allow substitutions on Saturday morning only scratches.

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Please register as soon as possible.
  • Create a user name and password that you can remember.
  • The user name and password you used in the past can be used again, but you need to go through the SIGN UP process again. ASPI Solutions will email you a confirmation with your user name and password. Please fill in every field, especially your email address and phone number.
  • If you have registered before, you will be directed to a page that asks you if you would like to import entries from previous meets into the system. It is suggested that you DO NOT IMPORT.
  • You can make any changes, without declaring, until Friday, April 11, 2008 at 5:00 PM.
  • Before your entries can be final, you need to declare that your entries are final.
  • For an entry of no mark/no time, enter “0.0”
  • Be sure to follow the exact format, including the “.00” at the end of every entry submitted. The correct format is provided to the right of every entry box.
  • When entering relays, designate the Varsity relays as “A Relays” and the Junior Varsity relays as “B Relays”
  • Also, new this year, you will need to enter the names of the relay members. You will be able to enter a total of six names. They final relay will be confirmed by the clerk of the course at check-in.
  • If you have questions about your entries, please call Rob Harvey as soon as possible. It would be helpful to have a computer with Internet access available.

COACHES / SCRATCH MEETING

Scratches may be made in the garage located at the Northeast end of the track between 8:30 am and 9:00 am. A short coach’s meeting will take place at 9:00 am in the same garage.

ADULT WORKERS

We are asking for one field event worker and one relay exchange zone/finishline worker.

Each school is to bring 1 adult field event worker. Please fill out the Worker Sheet with the worker’s name and their first and second choices. We will make every attempt to place workers in their desired positions. Your worker should be knowledgeable of the assignment and should report to the garage by no later than 9:30 am. If you do not provide adult worker, your coaching staff will be assigned the responsibility. Worker assignments will be posted on http://www.tigertf.org by 2:00 pm on
Thursday, April 16th.

DRESSING FACILITIES

Please bring your athletes ready to participate. No dressing facilities will be available at the meet.

WEIGH IN FOR SHOT AND DISCUS

Shot and discus will be checked from 9:00 – 9:30 in the garage located at the Northeast corner of the track.

STARTING BLOCKS AND RELAY MARKERS

Wheaton Warrenville South High School will provide starting blocks. Absolutely no tape may be used for relay or runway marks.

HIGH JUMP AND POLE VAULT

The starting height will be determined by the head coaches at the 9:00 meeting. We will be using the 5-alive system. We will not weigh pole vaulters. Please turn-in the IHSA Pole Vault card to Michael Fontana, Field Event Referee.

LONG JUMP AND TRIPLE JUMP

Both levels 4 jumps, no finals, cafeteria style

SHOT PUT AND DISCUS

Both levels 3 throws, top 9 to finals, 3 throws in finals.

JURY OF APPEALS

The Jury of Appeals will be made up of the head coaches from Glenview (Glenbrook South), Oswego, South Holland (Thornwood), Wheaton (Wheaton Warrenville South), and the meet manager.

RESULTS

Each team will be given a copy of the full results at the conclusion of the meet. Results will also be posted at www.tigertf.org on Monday, April 21st.
